UNITED STATES – The U.S. faces extreme weather this week with a heat wave in the Southwest and heavy rains, flooding, and snow in other regions.

The National Weather Service warns over 63 million people are under heat advisories, with temperatures in Phoenix reaching 110°f on Sunday.

Officials urge precautions, including hydration and limited outdoor activities as the heat wave is moving east, expected to impact the northeast by Tuesday.

This follows a record number of heat waves in the U.S. last year.
