OCEANIA – A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck Vanuatu’s capital on Tuesday, damaging buildings and cars and killing at least 14 people, according to police.

Eyewitness video obtained by reuters captured the moment the quake hit Port Pila … In it … A garage is seen violently shaking, as tools and furniture flew, and a man lost his balance.

The state broadcaster reported one person was trapped in a collapsed building, while others have been taken to hospital.

The U.S. Tsunami warning system has since canceled an earlier warning.
