NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The holiday season is filled with unique traditions in the Bahamas, such as food, Junkanoo parades, and the Christmas Carnival. With over three decades of tradition, the Christmas Carnival has introduced new treats and attractions for all ages.

Denielle Miller – Reporter
“The Christmas Carnival is something that we all look forward to during the month of December and early part of January. Me, I come for the pizza, but for the first time in my memory, they have brought funnel cakes. That’s the report, let’s talk about it.”

This year, attendees are also excited about new rides, including the “Star Trooper” and the return of the “Round Up” after refurbishment.

Geordie Todd – Assistant Director, McCafferty Enterprises
“This year there are several new things. A welcome back addition is the Round Up, it was gone for a complete refurbish and it’s back. We have new this year, Star Trooper, a very fast, level, intense ride for teenagers and kids alike.”

For many, the Christmas Carnival is about more than just rides; it’s a place to enjoy time with loved ones.

Patron
“From I was a small little kid, this was my favorite ride. I’ll do this over and over all night.”

Aaron & Latoya – Patrons
“The food tastes good. I come for the food and the cotton candy and the apple, and who picked out the matching outfits? Me, I picked everything, I picked it.”
