LOS ANGELES, UNITED STATES – A raging wildfire engulfed an assisted living center in Pasadena, California, as firefighters battled to contain the Eaton fire, now spreading rapidly across 1,000 acres.

Over 30,000 residents, including Hollywood celebrities, fled their homes as flames ripped through the region, with three major fires fueled by strong winds.

Los Angeles Fire Chief says two people have been killed and over 1,000 structures destroyed.

Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency, with 70,000 people under evacuation orders and at least 28,000 structures at risk.
