NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Chevening scholars, Theominique Nottage and Tristian Christie are among a number of successful candidates who have been granted the prestigious scholarship.

Nottage tells me she applied three times before her acceptance.

Fully-funded scholarships to some of the world’s top universities, a set living allowance, and some free flights are just some of the benefits of being a Chevening scholar.

Christie adds that anyone who may be interested in applying should consider reaching out to previous Chevening scholars for advice.

In the past, The Bahamas has only had one Chevening scholar selected each year, however British High Commissioner Thomas Hartley says there will be four scholarships up for grabs in the upcoming round, and the hope is to see more Family Islanders in the running for the opportunity.

Now the application cycle closes on November 7th and those interested should apply online through www.chevening.org.
