NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Mother’s Day hits different when you’re celebrating as a first time mom and for this new mother, this year isn’t just about flowers or cards, it’s about reflecting on the journey that brought her here. Our Delvardo Emmanuel sat down with a new mom who’s experiencing motherhood and Mother’s Day in a whole new way.

For Megan Ferguson, this Mother’s Day is unlike any other because this time, she’s not just celebrating her mom, she is a mom.

It’s the little things she says. The tiny fingers. The purest smiles. And even the sleepless nights and the unexpected tears.

Mother to baby Michael, Megan’s journey into motherhood has been filled with moments that many moms know all too well.

Her most memorable moments are the simple ones.

Like so many mothers, Megan envisioned motherhood one way but, reality turned out even more beautiful.

And for her, motherhood came with surprises as well. Like postpartum emotions, and the heartbreak of returning to work.
