NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Office of The Governor General is releasing the 2023 National Honors list. In this report, a leader of the clergy who has dedicated her life to ministry who was on the list was spoken to.  

Founder and Senior Pastor of Agape Place of Love Bishop Helen McPhee is among those who have been recognized for their exemplary service to the country. 

She shared what life was like for her in Cat Island before moving to New Providence to finish high school. 

She grew up in the Anglican church and developed a relationship with God at an early age. 

Shortly after, she got married and began preaching. 

Bishop McPhee was a banker for some 30 years and it was during that time she decided to leave her job to focus on building Agape Place of Love. 

Now that she has moved from the pulpit as a senior pastor she says next on her agenda is to build a shelter. 

The bishop also telling women to always maintain their standards and had this bit of advice.
