NASSAU, BAHAMAS – About 1100 officers from all branches of law enforcement will be involved in securing Clifford Park during the festivities on Sunday night.

Security checkpoints, metal detectors and designated seating areas have all been planned by the Royal Bahamas Police Force as a number of regional and international guests are expected to be in attendance.

Officer-in-Charge of operations at the independence celebrations Assistant Commissioner Ken Strachan sends a warning to anyone seeking to cause mischief.
