NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Ministry of Health has devised a strategy to administer pediatric doses of COVID-19 vaccines on school campuses.

On Saturday, 24,000 doses of the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine arrived in country.

Health officials say they will begin rolling them out on Thursday. Children ages five to eleven are eligible for the doses, which were donated from France and facilitated through the COVAX facility.

As for the overall vaccine uptake, up to July 23rd, more than 169,000 residents have been fully-vaccinated, while just over 159,000 people received one dose.
