NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Junkanoo season is in full swing and that means the conversation surrounding relocating parades is rearing its head.

Leader of Opposition Michael Pintard is the latest to propose a change of venue.

But for residents we spoke to, it’s Bay Street that makes Junkanoo, Junkanooo.

Over the years many have cited safety concerns as another reason to move the parade, but for others, they say they feel safe.

The Thomas A Robinson National Stadium has become a popular choice for a potential venue.
