$110M Development Planned for Southeast New Providence

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A multi-million dollar heads of agreement was signed for a new marina in Southeastern New Providence at the Office of the Prime Minister on Monday. 

The investment by Legendary Marina Incorporated is expected to provide hundreds of jobs for Bahamians.

Ground is expected to be broken for the legendary marina resort at Blue Water Cay this summer. The project located south of Fox Hill Road has a construction time of 18-20 months.

Prime Minister Philip Davis says the project will be a welcomed addition to the commercial infrastructure in New Providence and he says the strong investor confidence demonstrated by the developers is encouraging.

He also says the company has a reputation for excellence in the hospitality and real estate sectors.

Deputy Prime Minister and Tourism Minister Chester Cooper revealing a unit was formed to facilitate the project.

The developers say they’ve been coming to The Bahamas for decades.
