NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man arrested after customs and border patrol officers found child porn in his cellphone has been sentenced to three years after taking a plea deal.

Thirty-year-old Terrel Clarke pleaded guilty to the charges when he appeared before Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson.

After his release from prison, Clarke will be placed on probation for two years. A breach of probation will send Clarke back to jail for one year.

Clarke was selected for a security check while in the preclearance area of the Lynden Pindling International Airport on June 28, 2023.

At that time, Clarke was asked to hand over his phone for a search.

Police were called after sexually explicit videos and images of boys under the age of 18 were found in the phone’s hidden folder and recently deleted folder.
