Strip Club Owner Loses Appeal for 2021 Rape Conviction

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A strip club owner has lost an appeal against a rape conviction.
Akeem Wilson, otherwise known as Akeem Watson, is serving a 21-year sentence for the rape of a 21-year-old woman.

The woman testified that she went out with her sister on July 4, 2021 and they went out for drinks.

Their final stop was Wilson’s club before going to her sister’s home, where she fell asleep.

The woman said she went to the bathroom to throw up and passed out.

She awoke to grunting sounds and saw Wilson on top of her.

Wilson was a close friend of the victim’s sister.
