NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man jailed for 10 years after he was found guilty of raping a 14-year-old girl has had an appeal against his conviction and sentence dismissed.

Vakeito Ferguson was convicted in 2024 by a jury of the sexual assault that took place in New Providence in March 2021.

Following the attack, Ferguson, a friend of the victim’s family, threatened her into silence.
