UNITED STATES – Devynne Charlton set a new national record in the women’s outdoor 100m hurdles on Saturday at the Wanda Diamond League meet in Xiamen, finishing the race in a time of 12.37 seconds.

This breaks a record she actually set last week in Shanghai, which had broken another record set in 2023 by Charlton herself.

Her training partner, Masai Russell, won the race in 12.14 seconds, missing the world record by two-hundredths of a second.

Shaunae Miller-Uibo also turned in a strong performance in China, finishing the 200m in a time of 22.04 seconds — good for second place.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. and his New York Yankees matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays was postponed due to a weather delay.

Coach Antoan Richardson and his Atlanta Braves got one-hit by the Washington Nationals, losing 2-0.

Michael Harris II got the team’s only hit.

Dylan Crews hit a home run for Washington.

Down in the minors, Kristian Robinson hit a solo home run in his Reno Aces 2-1 win over the Oklahoma City Comets.

And BJ Murray went 2-3 with a double, a walk, and 2 RBI, but his team could’ve used one more. His Iowa Cubs lost 7-6 to the Rochester Red Wings.
