Man Shares Story of Survival
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Sixty-one-year-old Isaiah McIntosh is fortunate to have lived to tell the tale of survival on Grand Bahama after hurricane Dorian.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Sixty-one-year-old Isaiah McIntosh is fortunate to have lived to tell the tale of survival on Grand Bahama after hurricane Dorian.
The lifelong McLean’s Town resident says the Saturday before Dorian arrived, his family heard about Dorian’s destruction in Abaco. That’s when his wife and youngest son decided to leave McLean’s Town.
McIntosh chose to stay behind.
McIntosh says he acted quickly and propped himself on a closet drawer to climb into his ceiling.
As water levels rose and winds got louder and stronger, he was swept away in his home.
Today, McIntosh is rebuilding his home, and the McLean’s Town resident says he owes all thanks to God for putting people in place to help him.
