NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Christmas Eve is just 23 days away, and with many Black Friday sales extending into this week, many are trying to make sure they can get a deal for what goes under the tree. But can you trust every site?

Cable Bahamas’ Director of Information Security Shakera Rolle wants to make sure your Christmas shopping is secure this season.

When you create accounts on shopping sites, use two-factor authentication, if possible, to keep your sensitive card information protected.

Rolle also warns to be careful when it comes to coupons and marketing, saying if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

And even if you’ve done everything you can to shop responsibly, there’s one last line of defense you can use.

Santa has his list he makes and checks twice, and Rolle advises you do the same when it comes to your bank statements this season.
