800 Plus Officers To Man Junkanoo Parades

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s almost time, the return of Junkanoo to Bay Street, and as Junkanooers and spectators prepare to hit the parade, the Royal Bahamas Police Force says there will be zero tolerance for any disruptions.

Ensuring the safety of all, that’s the goal of law enforcement as 800 plus officers from both the Royal Bahamas Police and Defense forces will be policing both Junkanoo parades according to Assistant Commissioner of Police Craig Stubbs.

He also explained that at 10PM all vehicular traffic in the area will be suspended.
