NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Gas retailers holding an emergency meeting, Wednesday, to determine the next course of action, following persistent frustration with government over low price margins.

Bahamas Petroleum Retailers Association Vice President Vasco Bastian says retailers have been plagued with the same issues for some time now.

Bastian says the government takes the bulk of the profit made on gas and as a result cuts into the profits of retailers.

Some residents say while they do not wish to be inconvenienced at the pump, they understand the gas operators’ plight.
