NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The United States throwing its support behind a multinational force to assist Haiti with attaining political stability.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State to the Caribbean and Haiti Barbara Feinstein confirming as much, adding that the U.S. is prepared to produce a resolution authorizing a multinational force.

Kenya has pledged to head the force and pledge one thousand officers for the initiative.

The Bahamas recently said it will deploy 150 officers should the resolution pass at the United Nations.

However, it seems the S.S. hasn’t locked in what their support will look like.
