NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas National Women’s Soccer Team played their first match on the road to the CONCACAF Gold Cup Wednesday night, losing to Grenada 6-1.

Demitra McClure scored the first and only goal of the game for Team Bahamas.

Unfortunately for team 242, the Grenadians poured it on, scoring three goals in the first half, adding three more in the second.

Grenada’s Head Coach Jack Rennie summed up the win.

And despite the loss, Head Coach for Team Bahamas Ricqea Bain outlined some positive takeaways.

NBA

It seems like Buddy Hield is on the move.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, contract extension negotiations between Hield, who is in the last year of his contract, and the Indiana Pacers are at a stalemate and the two sides are now moving to find a trade partner.

Hield has been a prolific three-point shooter during his seven years in the NBA and will undoubtedly command a large paycheck in free agency.

The Pacers are in the middle of a rebuild, looking to shed payroll and stack draft picks and young prospects.

A prolific, high-priced veteran like Buddy is more suited to a contending team looking to win a championship right now.
