Murder Accused Denied Bail for July 2023 Killing

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of murder and attempted murder will remain in custody a judge has ruled. 

Justice Gregory Hilton rejected the bail application of Davanno Miller. 

He’s accused of the murder of Frantwion Newton and the attempted murder of Romeo Cooper. 

The men were at Market Street and Hay Street on July 20, 2023 when a gunman exited a white Japanese car and opened fire on them.

Both men were rushed to hospital and Newton died a short time later.
