Uncle Accused of Molesting Six-Year-Old Niece For Two Years

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 25-year-old man is behind bars after he was accused of molesting his niece over a two-year period. 

The man’s name has been withheld to protect the child’s identity. He faced five counts of incest when he stood before Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans. 

Prosecutors say the man began sexually abusing his niece in January 2022 when she was six years old.

The molestation allegedly continued up to March 22. The man didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges. 

Bail was denied and he’s next due in court on July 29 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
