Residents Split on Outcome of U.S. Presidential Race

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Reactions were divided over the outcome of Tuesday’s U.S. Presidential Election – some Bahamians think Donald Trump’s victory signals tougher times ahead, while others believe his strong-arm approach could benefit the region.

Adrian Bowe said he would have voted for Trump six times while Ralph Forbes said he feels Trump would do a lot of great things for America which will bode well for The Bahamas as well.

“Trump did a good job, um, really trying to get the people to vote for him,” Sharon Brown said “And I think he should be given a try. And i think he’ll do better than the last time.”

When asked which policies they agree with, Adrian Bowe said he agreed with all his policies

We also caught with an American tourist who decided to get away from all the action.

“I think America is going to be in a brand new America since he’s been elected,” David said. “So, anyway, we’re there are some of us that are scared to death of what’s happening in our country right now. I happen to be one. “
