Suspect In Three Murders Released from Prison Without Ankle Monitor

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A suspect in three murders was released from prison without an ankle monitor as a result of an oversight.

Eltarrio Munroe was supposed to have his movements tracked while on bail for the October 29, 2021 murders of Kenneth Eulin, Gromyko Symonette and Justin Cash, who were gunned down outside a house on Prison Lane.

Munroe was initially tagged with an ankle monitor when he was released on bail for the murders.

But he was sent back to prison in November 2023 after he pleaded guilty to violating his bail conditions by failing to check in with police.

Munroe was released from prison in April 2024 without an ankle monitor.

The mistake came to light when Munroe appeared in the Supreme Court to have his bail conditions modified.

Munroe sought an address change and a curfew extension.

When asked about his ankle bracelet, Munroe admitted that officials released him without putting one on.

The Court approved the bail variation, but ordered Munroe detained until officials put on an ankle monitor.
