NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Cable Bahamas is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, since the early 2000s, it has been supplying cable television, later adding phone and internet services.

CEO for the company Franklyn Butler says the company has a rich history, from the early days of Coralwave, or Digital Oceans Paperview.

Then on to purchase System Resource Group (SRG) limited, soon after, debuting as the first triple-play provider in The Bahamas.

To the company that it is today, offering lightning-speed services through Aliv and Aliv Fibr, the growth has been immense.

Butler says it has been nothing short of amazing.

The company has now gone full-steam ahead with its current project, Aliv Fibr.

“We used to go on Napster and all these platforms and try to download data. We would settle for five streams and see which one we complete so we can watch the video listen to the song but today you’re not doing that that way anymore what you were doing as you’re using gaming you were sharing your screen with somebody else another part of the world you are on a video call talking with your colleagues in Zürich or in Jamaica or any country around the world you know sharing your video and so we know how to focus on upload and fiber is the best way to give you upload a low latency,” Butler says.
