NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police believe a Dominican national, in his mid-twenties, is the country’s latest homicide victim.

Police Press Liaison Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings told the media that it was shortly after 8am Friday when the police was notified of a shooting at West Bay Street and Eaton Avenue.

“Police responded and information suggest that the victim was entering his car when [he noticed] a silver Juke that was parked adjacent. A man exited that vehicle and opened fire on the victim hitting him multiple times. The victim ran onto West Bay Street where he collapsed and died.”

Chief Superintendent Skippings told the media that due to the due diligence of officers and members of the public, police have already recovered the shooter’s vehicle which was found on Munnings Drive.
