NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Team up to clean up, that’s the message one Bahamian is pushing this summer and she’s encouraging others to show their national pride by joining the effort.

Cheryl Cambridge, CEO of Cheryl Bahamas Taxi and Tours says working in the tourism industry she often hears many complaints from visitors about the appearance of the city.

It’s one of the reasons they decided to clean up New Providence throughout the month of June ahead of the 50th independence celebrations.

Local businesses like John Watlings Distillery also supporting the team up to clean up campaign.

Managing partner at the distillery, Pepin Argamasilla says the goal is to ensure that when tourists visit our shores, they’re met with a positive lasting impression.
