NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Three foreign nationals who are in the country legally are accused of getting Bahamian passports through fraud.

Prosecutors say Dominicans Larny Nova, a housekeeper, Theofilo Tavarez, a maintenance worker, and Cuban cigar maker Ruslen Espinosa, used forged documents when they applied for their passports.

The accused, who all hold valid work permits, denied the allegations when they appeared before Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly.

Their bail was set at $6,000 cash and they return to court in May for trial.
