27 Graduate From National Training Agency
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Twenty-seven future construction professionals graduated from the National Training Agency’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program, 84% of them were male, but the women in the cohort say they held their own.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Twenty-seven future construction professionals graduated from the National Training Agency’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program, 84% of them were male, but the women in the cohort say they held their own.

“It wasn’t intimidating because I wasn’t the only female. That definitely helped. But even if I were, I wouldn’t be intimidated by men anywhere I go.”
Launched on June 30th in partnership with the National Apprenticeship Program, the five-week course introduced participants to the fundamentals of the construction industry, including insight from some of the sector’s leading professionals.
The graduation ceremony, held at the National Training Agency, saw students honored among family and friends with certificates of completion.

“The most valuable lesson was emotional intelligence, how to behave in the workplace and manage your emotions.”
Top honors went to Turrell Deveaux, who received the High Achiever Award. He credited the competitive spirit of his peers for motivating him to push harder.
