ITALY – Lenox Lockhart continued his impressive run on the European karting circuit with a strong performance at Round Two of the ACI Italian Championship in the Mini GR3 class.

The young Bahamian qualified fifth in a 51-driver field and produced heat results of fourth, third and seventh to earn a fourth-place starting spot for the pre-final.

After another fourth-place finish in the pre-final, Lockhart looked poised for a top result before contact at the start of the final dropped him down the order. He recovered to finish 14th.

Volleyball

The Fidelity/Central Gas Lady Panthers added another title to their collection over the Whit Monday weekend, winning a third straight Battle of the Islands Tournament in Grand Bahama.

The Panthers defeated Abaco Alpha in three sets in the championship match to complete another undefeated run, which also included their sixth straight NPVA title.

Meanwhile, the University of The Bahamas Mingoes finished third with a win over the Hawks.

UB’s Zarria Rose won Best Setter honours, while Alyzza Arbatin captured the Best Digger award.
