Charlton Set for Diamond League Final in Brussels

BRUSSELS – Devynne Charlton will have one more shot at Diamond League glory this season.

The Bahamian hurdler is set to compete in the women’s 100-meter hurdles final Saturday in Brussels, Belgium, at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme.

Charlton enters with a season and personal best of 12.37 seconds run in Xiamen, and is currently third on the start list by season’s best.

She’ll face a stacked field including new world record holder Masai Russell, who ran 12.09 last week in Zurich, and former world record holder Tobi Amusan.

Charlton will be looking to end her Doiamond League campaign with a statement performance and gain momentum headed into the newly founded World Athletics Ultimate Championship next month.

Knowles’ Two-Homer Night Fuels Playoff Push

The final playoff spot in the American Association of Professional is coming down to the wire, with D’Shawn Knowles and Tahnaj Thomas playing a role in the Sioux City Explorers’ post-season push.

The Explorers, at 47-49 trail the Sioux Falls Canaries 48–48, by a single game for the final playoff spot in the west division, with just five games remaining in the regular season.

Sioux City has won four of five, including Wednesday’s 11–2 rout of Kansas City, with D’Shawn Knowles going deep twice, his solo Homer in the third and two-run shot in the eighth.

Meanwhile, right-hander Tahnaj Thomas has appeared in 33 games out of the Explorers’ bullpen, going 3–2 with two saves and 27 strikeouts in 30 2/3 innings.

Five games to go, and the Explorers need every one of them.

Munnings Signs in Spain With Movistar

Travis Munnings has found a new home in Spain, signing with Movistar Estudiantes for the 2026-27 season.

The 31-year-old forward spent the second half of last season with Monbus Obradoiro in Spain’s Primera Feb, helping the club earn promotion back to the top-tier Liga Endesa.

Munnings played 16 games for Obradoiro, averaging 5.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in just over 18 minutes per game.

He began the 2025-26 season with Covirán Granada in the Liga Endesa, Spain’s top division, where he averaged 2.6 points and 1.3 rebounds in 11 appearances.

Munnings now returns to Primera Feb with Estudiantes, looking to help the club in its push for promotion.
