NASSAU, BAHAMAS – We sit down with Alexis Mckinney to reflect on her once in a lifetime moment, meeting Queen Elizabeth II when she was a girl.

It was March 1994 when Mckinney greeted the Queen at Prince George Wharf, along with another familiar face you may recognize – then Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham but to the little girl about to meet royalty, the focus was on the queen.

As the years have passed and the world has changed, so has Mckinney’s view of Britain’s longest serving monarch.

Are Bahamians attitudes toward royals shifting?
