Abaco Church Hosts Evacuees Amid Controversy
ABACO, BAHAMAS – More than a month after being the subject of a search, an Abaco church again opened its doors to storm evacuees.
ABACO, BAHAMAS – More than a month after being the subject of a search, an Abaco church again opened its doors to storm evacuees.
In September, police seized Disaster Reconstruction Authority items from Friendship Tabernacle Church, prompting Senior Pastor Silbert Mills to declare he was no thief.
Police commissioner Clayton Fernander and a team of officers were a part of that search that Pastor Mills termed a nasty attack against him.
After all he’s been through, Mills still stresses the importance of forgiveness.
In mid-September, DRA Managing Director Aarone Sargeant confirmed to Our News that an investigation focused on items stored at the church.
Sources telling Our News Abaco police seized items belonging to the DRA, that were reported missing.
Mills also spoke about how his church was used as a shelter.
