74 Police Involved Shooting Cases Before the Coroner’s Court

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – According to the “Respect for the Integrity of the Person” section of the United States Department of State’s Human Rights Report on The Bahamas, 74 police-involved shootings are currently before Coroner’s Court. 

Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander spoke to the progress and hurdles when it comes to these kinds of cases.

The commissioner says justice is as much a priority in the Coroner’s Court as it is in the Supreme Court cases and emphasized families of victims who want justice.
