NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A recent announcement from the Biden administration that eases COVID vaccination restrictions for unvaccinated travelers, creating quite a buzz as many residents are looking forward to returning to the U.S.

Consular Chief at the U.S. embassy here in Nassau, Jessica Elmshaeuser says they’re very excited to welcome unvaccinated Bahamian passengers back to the U.S on May 12th.

As for whether or not there are any concerns now that the vaccination mandate will be lifted, Elmshaeuser says there is a possibility for an uptick in illnesses however, they are just happy to connect Bahamians back to the US.
