ISRAEL – Families of Israeli hostages held in Gaza protested outside the Likud party headquarters in Tel Aviv on Wednesday, urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to secure their release.

Public anger has grown since the bodies of six hostages were recovered from Gaza tunnels last week, with criticism directed at Netanyahu’s handling of negotiations.

Frustration has also spread to Israel’s allies, including the U.S., as efforts to reach a ceasefire-for-hostages deal remain stalled.

Meanwhile, Hamas stated they have not received a new proposal and blamed Netanyahu for the deaths of the recovered hostages.
