NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Franchise Owner of the Bahamas International Pageant’s Organisation Tia Thompson broke her silence and explained alleged issues with former titleholder Carmeronique Evans.

“Myself nor my organization left her at the airport or anywhere in South Africa,” she said.

She says they began months prior, and claims multiple meetings were held with Cameronique Evans and her family to address behavioral concerns and lack of adherence to pageant rules that led to the 18-year-old being stripped of her crown.

The controversy took an international twist when the former Miss Teen Bahamas claimed she was left stranded in South Africa following a pageant event.

It’s a claim Thompson denies.

This statement was also posted to their social media page stating it was from the International Organization – Miss Teen Universe.

That release stated: We have gone to great lengths to ensure all contestants were accompanied by a chaperone while in our care. We can confirm that The Bahamas’ delegate was transported from our care to that of her family.

Thompson insists her organization followed the established protocols.

In response to all the allegations made by the former Miss Teen Bahamas Universe, Thompson is urging the public to consider the organization’s track record.
