Inside the Grand Bahama Port Authority, the Customer Relationships Department plays a pivotal role in fostering strong connections between businesses and their customers.

One of the key figures behind these efforts is Claudine Pinder, a business retention officer at the GBPA as part of her responsibilities, she oversees initiatives like the my Grand Bahama customer service trainings, a program aimed at elevating the standards of customer service on the island.

The training covers topics like service failure, branding and the fundamentals of exceptional customer service.

As a result, in July 2024, their first cohort of individuals took part in the three hour customer service training.

As for the program’s overall goal, she said offering good customer service is vital to the business.
