NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police entered the private property of Ocean Club Estates after a Ocean Club Estates worker going about his regular duties made a gruesome discovery.

The media was not allowed on the property, but on scene, police press liaison chief superintendent Sheria King told the press the shocking details.

Police have remained tight-lipped on specifics, claiming it’s a sensitive case.

They declined to give the fetus’ gender or ethnicity, but they have confirmed that the coroner has taken charge of the investigation to determine how long the fetus had been submerged and determined whether foul play was involved.

This is the second such incident in recent months.

Earlier this year, another fetus was discovered under similar circumstances in the Carmichael area near the Dentition Center, prompting authorities to remind expectant mothers in crisis that help is available.

For now, authorities are working to determine whether this case will be classified as a murder.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
