NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police have charged an 18-year-old man with murder in connection with two separate homicides that occurred within days of each other.

Samuel Charles stood before Acting Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley charged with the murders of Jermaine Hepburn and Eric Curtis.

Prosecutors allege that Charles shot and killed Hepburn on June 17 outside Darville’s Liquor Store on Wulff Road. He’s accused of attempting to murder David Burrows and Lorenzo Payne in the same incident.

Two days later, prosecutors allege that Charles knocked on the door of Curtis’ Peach Street home and shot him multiple times when he opened the door.

Charles didn’t have to plead to the charges and he was denied bail.

He’s next due in court on October 24 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
