NASSAU, BAHAMAS – One of the residents in Gambier Village, who spoke to Our News Thursday, lives near the club where former Tall Pines MP Don Saunders, was gunned down in cold blood during what police say was an armed robbery gone bad. 

She recounts the harrowing moments gunshots rang out.

Saunders was shot and killed at a popular outdoor club in the area, a spot where residents say Saunders along with others hung out regularly.

While Gambier has seen it’s share of crime in the past, residents contend it’s a safe community.
