UNITED KINGDOM – In his first action as the new Prime Minister, Britain’s Rishi Sunak reintroduced a moratorium on Fracking drawing harsh criticism from the opposition.

Fracking is a controversial technique for recovering gas and oil from shale rock.

It was halted back in 2019 over concerns about earth tremors.

The issue was raised during the Prime Minister’s first round of questions in parliament. Where the conservative leader was grilled by Labour Party Leader Keir Starmer and other MP’s.

Starmer accused him of making a grubby deal to appoint the former home secretary six days after she resigned over data breaches.
