NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Government moving full speed ahead with the revitalization of Downtown Nassau, with demolitions planned for this weekend.

Derelict buildings on East Bay Street have been a longstanding issue, creating eyesores along the strip but Global Relations Consultant in the Ministry of Tourism Randy Rolle says the Bay Street Revitalization Unit is tackling the issue.

And while efforts to clean up downtown continue, flooding in the area is also a major concern.

Recently videos circulating on social media showed areas on east bay street inundated with inches of water, making it almost impassable for motorists.

Rolle tells us that issue is also being addressed.
