NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A strategic plan for the Department of Aviation is now being unveiled. It was first introduced by government earlier this year.

Director of Aviation and Deputy Director General of Tourism Dr. Kenneth Romer says the strategic plan has several goals, one of them to improve infrastructure and development.

Then there’s enhancing strategic partnerships and engagement.

A number of new direct flights have emerged from new destinations. Jet Blue’s direct from Los Angeles to Nassau the latest among them.

Romer says while these international flights are important, local airlines are also major players.
