NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 50th anniversary logo and theme was unveiled on Thursday night Downtown, Nassau. Bahamians from across the country turned out for the massive event. The producer of the event shares what the planning process was like.

The Bahamas, one nation, one legacy, our future. That’s the country’s 50th anniversary independence theme.

The event on Thursday night has been dubbed a huge success as there was lots of entertainment from the police pop band, the National Youth Choir and of course our number one cultural expression, Junkanoo.

There was also a big unveiling for the 50th anniversary logo. The producer of the event, Fred Ferguson, said it took a lot of work.
