Second Man in Triple Shooting Dies

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The homicide count climbing tonight, as the second male shot in last night’s triple shooting on West End Avenue and Market Street, has died.



Investigators confirm that the male victim – who was transported to hospital – succumbed to his injuries this morning.

The final victim – a female – is the only survivor.

Police Press Liaison, Superintendent Audley Peters, telling reporters on the scene last night that it was shortly after 10pm when officers were called to the scene, where they met a man believed to be in his early 20s, lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. Superintendent Peters says the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

The third victim is said to be in critical condition.

Noting the presence of CCTV in the neighborhood, he says all available tools and avenues will be utilized to solve this crime.

This latest incident follows five murders last weekend.
