NASSAU, BAHAMAS – If you’re feeling inspired to commit to organ donation upon your passing, Doctors Hospital is actively engaging more residents in this vital cause.

On Thursday, we shared the inspiring story of former police inspector Thomas McIntosh, who selflessly pledged to donate his organs upon his passing, offering the gift of life to others. But what about those who are willing to follow in his noble footsteps?

President and CEO of Doctors Hospital Dr. Charles Diggiss says now is the time to document your wishes.

And when it comes to organ donation, the needs can vary based on several factors including medical advancements, demographic trends, and specific patient cases.

And there are also ways individuals can signal their intentions to donate organs something transplant pathologist Dr. Rhea Thruston-Carrol says is being considered.

Doctors Hospital also announced plans to start more donor programs something international stakeholders agree with.
