CARIBBEAN – Karon Pinder-Johnson, manager of the 2026 CARIFTA swim team, said the Grand Bahama contingent has been putting in the work to bring home the 8th straight CARIFTA swim victory.

The swimmers themselves are ready to hit the ground running.

Basketball

It may be March Madness, but Bahamians still got after it in the NBA.

VJ Edgecombe has been balling in the absence of his All-Star teammates Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

He dropped 22 points and a team-high 13 rebounds to go with four assists to help the Philadelphia 76ers grab a 126–116 win over the Sacramento Kings.

Quentin Grimes led the team with 25 points.

Deandre Ayton also had a team-high 12 rebounds to go with nine points in the LA Lakers’ 105–104 win over the Orlando Magic.

Luka Doncic had 33 points and eight assists to lead the team. Luke Kennard hit a cold-blooded three-pointer down two with fractions of a second left in regulation to pull out the nail-biting win.

Klay Thompson had 12 off the bench in his Dallas Mavericks’ 138–131 loss to the LA Clippers.
