UNITED STATES – VJ Edgecombe and the Philadelphia 76ers rallied to beat the Indiana Pacers 114–109 on Wednesday night, improving to 4–1 on the season.

Edgecombe finished with eight points and seven rebounds, highlighted by a 50-foot shot at the halftime buzzer.

The Sixers watched a 15-point lead disappear after Indiana outscored them 36–13 in the third quarter. Philadelphia responded with 39 points in the fourth, outscoring the Pacers 39–21 to complete the comeback.

It was Philadelphia’s second comeback win of the season, following a 29-point rally against Cleveland on October 22.

NBA

Deandre Ayton was perfect from the field, but the Washington Wizards fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 121–111 on Wednesday night.

Ayton finished with 10 points and five rebounds, shooting five-for-five from the floor in just under 13 minutes of action.

Washington opened strongly, scoring 42 points in the first quarter, but Cleveland took control after halftime and outscored the Wizards 62–42 in the second half to secure the win.

The loss dropped Washington to 2–3 on the season, while Ayton continues to adjust to his role in a new-look Wizards frontcourt.

Minor League Baseball

Sebastian Walcott delivered a three-hit performance on Wednesday night, helping the Surprise Saguaros defeat the Mesa Solar Sox 13–2 in the Arizona Fall League.

Walcott went three-for-six with a double, two runs batted in and two runs scored as Surprise improved its record to 11–8.

The Texas Rangers’ top prospect has now batted .273 with a .778 OPS, one home run and 13 RBIs through 11 games in the Fall League.

Walcott is using the autumn showcase to build momentum after returning from right elbow surgery earlier this year. With the regular-season schedule set to run through November 10, he has more opportunities to continue his development before the offseason.
